- My name is Kara Akins. I was married at age 18 to Mr. Jack Stephen Akins III. He's as adorable as his name sounds. We now have six children ages: 9,11,13,16,17 and 19. Our 7th child is my precious niece who lives with us. She is a 21 year old college student. We have one boy in the bunch and he is spoiled rotten by EVERYONE. I love being a mom. It is the best job in the world! And, every once in awhile, I'm compelled to write about life as a mom on this blog... Welcome to Mommy Dot Com!
